World Bank cuts South Africa's growth forecast for 2020

The World Bank has cut South Africa's growth forecast to 0.9% for 2020 due to load shedding concerns, the Washington-based lender said in its Global Economic Prospects report.

Econometrix chief economist Dr. Azar Jammine says the decision comes as no surprise, and implementation of stage 6 load shedding during the festive season contributed to the low forecast.
